Coping With Dad Shaming

Coping with dad shaming shouldn’t be a thing but it is!

All dads from all walks of life have to deal with it and sometimes dealing with it is simply ignoring it. But that’s always easier said than done.

Fatherhood Is Lit Coping With Dad Shaming

For me, it’s much easier now, but it took me a while and some times I didn’t keep my emotions in check.

I’m not ashamed to admit that and you shouldn’t either. Some times people, especially those that give unsolicited advice need a good tongue lashing.

Moments like those though, should be reserved for when your kids aren’t around. You know they mimic everything we do, so remember that.

For all other days, remember these things.

  1. Always remember, what ever happens falls on us. We are the parents
  2. Old heads come from different generations but they mean well
  3. It’s our kids, it’s our rules, nothing else matters

That’s how I Cope with Dad Shaming, check out what I had to say on the latest #FatherhoodIsLit Podcast below or by clicking here. We are on all major platforms.

Also, check out what we had to say on Good Morning America, they got that work.
