Building A Robot With Your Kids, Lego Mini Build Recap

This month we built a cool Robot, kit #40248 that was definitely Cool4Dads Certified!

If your kids are into robots or just want a cool lego to build, this one is a dope addition to the collection! You can read more about their builds here!

We don’t go every month because some of the builds are pretty easy and it doesn’t make sense to travel for 30 minutes for a 10-minute build.

However, this one was well worth the travel since my oldest was leaving the next day on a school camping trip and we wouldn’t be able to hang out with him for his birthday!!!

It wasn’t a hard build, they usually aren’t, but with 54 pieces it did take some time to complete this robot. I hate when we do a build that has less than 15 pieces and takes us only 5 minutes to build. That’s a waste of time, and it doesn’t challenge my kids the way I would like. We avoid those like the plague!!!!

We had some really dope conversations about robots and my youngest had a great time imagining different scenarios for his new robot build. The movie Short Circuit kept popping into my head and I had to add it to my list of movies to watch with my kids!
